The modern Turkish village of Uzuncaburç is situated north of Silifke in the pine-forested highlands of the southern Taurus mountains. Near the village is an archaeological site with Corinthian Temple of Zeus Olbios. Such sites often harbour interesting plants and insect, so are worth a visit for two reasons. |
