The previous day ended in rain, and when we woke up, the weather forecast for the surrounding mountains was even worse—rain and snow for most of the day. Indeed, the higher peaks were dusted with snow. However, the rainy weather was localized to the mountains, while nearby Corinth was forecasted to be sunny with temperatures around 16°C—not exactly summer, but still pleasant. So, we decided to head toward Corinth, and as we approached the city, we took the exit to the ancient acropolis of Corinth, or Acrocorinth. That turned out to be a great choice, as the archaeological site was abundantly adorned with spring flowers. After spending a few hours there, we visited a stretch of pebble beach, which also held some pleasant surprises for us.
