Family Crabronidae - subfamily Bembicinae - tribe Bembicini
|
Amstelveen, the Netherlands; 1 July 2007.
This was a rather cloudy and windy day, but during the afternoon the clouds
quite suddenly all but disappeared. During that sunny afternoon that followed,
I saw several of these nice wasps on Wild Carrot (Daucus carota). Though I
saw this species already at 2 June in the same locality, this was the first day
they were present in some numbers.

doubtlessly to lay her own eggs on the prey.
